it got made with a lot of executive interference because Capcom wanted to pull in a big new audience. Capcom lost a lot of money due to the post-earthquake brownouts in 2011 screwing up its publishing schedule, and wanted RE6 to be a big giant breakout action game that would put the company back on top.
RE6 isn’t bad because it isn’t horror, it’s bad because combat is sloppy and its difficult to gauge a combat sequence from a scripted sequence where you can’t deal damage, and game design doesn’t compliment it well.
Giant Bomb awarded it a 2 out of 5, calling it “the most lavishly produced bad game in history”. Destructoid completely trashed the game, stating that it was “poor by the standards of any game, not just the high ones set by its own legacy.” And G4TV stated that Resident Evil 6 was “the biggest misstep that (Capcom) could have made.”

The reason why a lot of people are saying that RE 6 is the worst ever (from my observation) is that it is not a truly a survivor horror.\ as compared to the Resident Evil 1,2 & 3. Do you like RE5 or RE6 better?
I guess first I should say I am not a traditional RE fan and barely played the original for a few hours on the playstation or whatever console I had at the time. RE6 is the first time I really fully gave the series a chance and have since played through RE5 as well. I really liked both but I have to say RE6 was better in alot of ways.
