Why isn’t battlefield 4 on steam

I can no longer launch bf4 from Steam, Clicking the play button doesn’t do a thing but launch origin. bf4 on origin is now gray colored (look at attached picture). I tried this fix but ended in the same issue of not being able to launch it.

Because, like valve, EA keep their games to their own client. ^ summed it up pretty well. Each company has own flagship games with which they are to “hint” users that you need use their service. Steam has CS GO, Dota 2. Origin has Battlefield 3/4, Crysis 3, Dead Space 3. Its very common business tactics.

Same problem here, been trying to make it run for an hour already, reinstalled Origin and Steam, nothing. Just EASteamProxy.exe running in the background for a while and then nothing. #12
