Why does league of legends update so slow

So I have slow internet, so I don’t expect league to update very fast. Recently I noticed it updates at roughly 120 KBps (and sometimes even lower). However, if i’m updating something on steam or origin, steam or origin will download things closer to 300 KBps. Why is that? why does league only download at 1/3 of the speed?

It’s the Garena client itself, its kinda shitty and slow in terms of verifying and downloading. There’s always manual update, less time consuming if you download .exe files on work or school WiFi using a phone (most of the patches ranges from 150-600MB), transfer the files to your computer, click settings button instead of “Install” and then click the “Manual Patch”.
