Mojang accidentally added the new diamond level in Minecraft 1.17 as below level 0 on bedrock. If you are in Bedrock 1.17.0, The diamond quantities are scuffed because they accidentally put the 1.18 distribution in, but of course that puts most of the diamonds below bedrock. I think they’ve probably patched it by now, so check to see if there are updates, and try to mine outside of chunks that were loaded with the broken gen.
However, there seems to be an issue with this release of Minecraft as players are reporting having issues finding Diamond Ores in Bedrock within the game. With that said, Is anyone else finding diamonds harder to find since 1.8? My usual method was to dig down to Y=16.6, and then branch mine. It worked so well, that I used to be able to dig down to that level and dig straight until finding my first diamond. But with all this new ‘stuff’ around, I have only found 3 diamonds so far.
