item unlocks have been replaced by blueprints and drops, drops give you the actual item but are from rocket pass and challenges only, blueprints have a chance to drop after a match, of pretty much any of the main rarities, you have to pay credits to build them (its better to get these through trade or luck from drops/trade in though, unless the item happens to be rare and worth more …

You can’t get legacy items anymore, those items existed in everyone’s inventory prior to free to play so they all got the items granted to them for free. Now you have to get those items from drops. Edit: when you get these items from drops they won’t be legacy status
