The easiest way is to simply press the scroll lock [ScrLk, ScrLk, or Slk] key on your keyboard and the UI will disappear. Make sure it is closed. That lock icon doesn’t seem to lock the UI to me. It simply locks the skills and abilities that you’ve placed on the hotbars.
